Overview

UMA 5.5Y Automatic Mass Comparator

UMA 5.5Y comparators represent the highest class of professional-level automatic mass comparators. They enable comparisons of mass standards as low as 1 mg to 5 g in class E1 and lower classes. The unit is manufactured in a 36-position version – it has a storage for 36 mass standards. The versatility of this solution makes it possible to compare both entire sets of mass standards in one process and just a few standards of the same mass.

Best Repeatability of Measurements in a Short Time

The UMA automatic comparators feature the best repeatability of measurements, thanks to the elimination of the “human factor”, air drafts and temperature changes. The consistent design of the device means that the mass standards are close together, reducing calibration time to a minimum.

Universal Insert Shape

The design of the insert enables very small masses to be weighed with very high accuracy and protects the mass standard from jamming. The UMA automatic comparators allow the comparison of all known shapes of mass standards, even wires, using a single universal insert.

Measurement of Ambient Conditions Directly in the Weighing Chamber

The UMA Automatic Mass Comparator is equipped with a high-end thermo-hygrobarometer, which enables real-time testing of ambient conditions. The device features very high measurement readability: pressure at 0.001 hPa, humidity at 0.01% and temperature at 0.001°C.

Real-Time Vibration Measurement

Thanks to a vibration sensor inside the electronics, the UMA series comparators analyse and identify the source of vibration. The sensor makes it possible to determine whether vibrations from the ground or other sources affect the measurement result.

Compact Design

The UMA series comparators have been designed to be adaptable to any laboratory environment. The devices’s dimensions allow it to be placed on a standard-sized anti-vibration table.

Built-in Assistant for Setting the Mass Standards

Additional software supervises the insertion of mass standards into the comparator’s magazine; thus, the same item will not be used several times.

Dedicated Software

Friendly and functional software means that the entire calibration plan takes only a few minutes to prepare. As the software allows you to memorise the comparison plans, you can use them again and again, saving you time.

The comparator saves all comparator reports and ambient conditions in dedicated databases. This means easy access to the data and speeds up its ripping as a printout.
