Overview

SM 5Y.A Automatic Susceptometer

What is the Automatic Susceptometer Used for?

The instrument is designed to measure the magnetic susceptibility and permanent magnetization of mass standards of class E1 and below with the readability [d] of 1 µg, in accordance with OIML R111. The SM 5Y.A allows automatic change of magnet polarity and pan level depending on the class of mass standard being tested. Any positive or negative information on the magnetic susceptibility and polarity of the tested mass standard is stored in the database.

Fully Automatic Change of Magnet Polarity

The program guides you through the process of checking the magnetic properties of the sample tested and then at the appropriate moment it will change the magnet’s polarity and finally display the test result.

Changing Measuring Ranges

The device has three automatic height levels that determine the distance of the weighing platform from the centre of the magnet. It simultaneously defines the strength of the magnetic field which the mass standard is tested in.

On the Best Foundations: the 5Y Terminal

The automatic susceptometer was built on the foundation of the 5Y terminal, which stands out among other laboratory terminals because it provides:

  • 21 CFR Part 11 compliance
  • Digital Weighing Auditor
  • 4+ login methods (password, fingerprint, face recognition, RFID* and combinations)
  • Handy Library with measurement history always at the fingertips
  • Live Notes
  • Ambient Light
  • Wide selection of widgets, databases, working modes and communication interfaces, including hotspot.

What Interfaces Does the Susceptometer Have? Peripherals You Can Easily Connect to

Thanks to the 5Y terminal, your susceptometer will connect to:

  • Computer and laptop (Ethernet, Wi-Fi®, USB-A)
  • Smartphone and tablet (hotspot)
  • Printer (Ethernet, Wi-Fi®, USB-A)
  • Barcode scanner (USB-A)
  • Additional screen (HDMI)
  • Any PC software (RADWAG communication protocol)
  • Spreadsheet (USB-C, Free Link)
  • Keyboard
  • Mouse.
